ABOUT

Who are you?My name is Christopher. I go by chrisgrammers online, which is both my developer name and social label.I develop indie video games and write the stories for them, most of which is done solo and in Unreal Engine 5.What type of games do you make and why?I create anime-centric style games solely.I think growing up, with my love for both games and anime - I feel like I have always wanted to set my stories in an anime-like world. At one point in my life, I tried to make this work sooner but didn't have the materials to get started, so I held back for a while and returned once I felt I was ready to deliver. There are a lot of possibilities for anime games, yet we don't always see them being developed. I want to be the type of person who can make these games confidently and release them into the world for others to play, watch and enjoy in more ways than one.Do you collaborate with others?I do, but usually I reach out to those I would like to work with - like voice actors, for example. To engage with others in other forms of work is something I am cautious with. I'd have to know that the idea we're working on isn't just an "idea" and becomes real. If there is ever any interest in collaborating with me, be it through voice acting, writing or even game development. You may reach out to me with a game pitch of your own, writing examples and an idea that you have - or if you are a voice actor and we've never interacted, please send me your voice reel.[email protected]I look forward to working with you!GENERAL QUESTIONSHow old are you?21 years old and growing. What is your ethnicity?Half-filipino british. What are your pronouns?he/him.Do you work with anyone?I work with anyone regardless of their sex, ethnicity or belief.Everyone is equal in my eyes, as long as you respect me as much as I respect you, we can work together and make something. What is your favourite food?Noodles. I've been growing kind of attached to melted ham cheese sandwiches though.Do you workout?I workout, mostly on arms and lifting weights. I also do a total of 10 push-ups daily and the results have been looking good. What is your stance on generative AI?I don't believe it should be used in our projects as much as it is now if we can avoid it.We've slowly been downgrading as creatives to the point work starts to feel less and less "human". This needs to change.

OUT NOW!! (Steam)

Will you keep coasting or finally break free?

VIDEOS

Backrooms - No Exit (Found Footage)This animation started out as a short test as to what I could do within Unreal Engine 5, while my video game project was on the backburner. I figured, with all of the backrooms content going on at the time of uploading, I wanted to take a shot at making my own.I hope you like the finished result!

My NEET Life - Developer Showcase (November 2025)The developer showcase for MY NEET Life. This showcase took place within the November 2025 build, which is of course outdated. Take for example, the uncooked environment. If we compared it to how it looks now, then you'd see a massive upgrade in terms of visual fidelity. The deuteragonist, Ryu Shoto - actually never appeared in the full game's Kosigiri District at this point in development, since a demo was previously planned but was later scrapped following a change in the game's workload.

My NEET Life (2026) - Steam TrailerThis is the steam trailer for My NEET Life, which is surprisingly my first debut game project that I plan to launch within the coming few weeks, if you wanted to get a deeper look into how this trailer was made, I initially thought about making it longer, even made a separate song track just for this trailer and went through several drafts.I never expected in a million years that I would make a game and get it on Steam, so if you told me that this would happen, I probably would have doubted you.
